Smart and Dead On September 25, 2008 Me (Syracuse, NY) This guy knows woman. I don't. He isn't just some scumbag who sees woman as sex objects. He is a man who loves woman and wants to share his knowledge on how to understand them. I also recommend this book:The Little Guide to Happiness: How to Smile Again
I learned alot and you can too June 5, 2008 Mavis Alderson (charlotte, NC United States) Even though the show is geared towards men, I learned alot. I had to tweak a few things being female but this program was still extremely useful. I have dated a ton since I bought these. I know feel I am definitely meeting and dating people more my equal. This was more than worth it. I feel I can chose who I am interested in now.
Kinda funny and interesting November 27, 2007 Jonathan D. Coffman (Washington DC, USA) Not my favorite new show this year, it's kinda interesting, but didn't hold my attention for very long.
from geek to chic November 4, 2007 nancy (Milwaukee, WI, USA) Interesting series...while there is a physical transformation of these men into cooler guys, the biggest transformation is how they carry themselves and the confidence they project.
this show is a lot of fun! October 19, 2007 T. Mohnke 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My wife and I both enjoyed watching this show as the aspects of social dynamics are very interesting to break down and see them identified in action. We both laughed about times that we tried (or someone had tried on us) some of these techniques, without ever identifying that they were "techniques" when it happened. Some of the show is a bit annoying, especially when it comes to the elimination portion of the show. Having said that, if the viewer keeps an open mind, the show builds with each episode and eventually the participants of the show each learn more about themselves and about becoming who they want to be (what a psychologist would dub that person's "ideal self"). What might initially be thought of as cheesy can be quickly overlooked (or fast-forwarded through) and a lot of entertainment will be had in watching this show. At the very least, I now have identified some behavioral techniques that can be used in many social settings (not just dating - don't think the wife would like that! - but in office parties, networking, etc). Would enjoy seeing a sequel!
