It features a round silver watch case that frames a white dial background with black Arabic numerals and silver hands (with seconds hand). The stainless steel bracelet band features trident shaped links in silver tones, and it's joined by a fold-over push-button clasp. This watch also features a 10-year battery life, water resistance to 50 meters (165 feet), and a date display at 3 o'clock. With the Quick Date function, you can set the date on the watch without turning the crown for every 24-hour period. Just pull the stem halfway out, and turn until desired date is reached. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer.

 Not a dainty or dress watch... January 3, 2009

I bought this watch for myself, as I needed a watch for Nursing. I am very happy with the quality of this timepiece, but when reading the reviews, I thought it wasn't as large as it really is. I needed to have 5 links taken out (go to Walmart - free service), and I didn't really think I had tiny wrists, but I guess I do. I am 5'6" and this watch looks large on me. The watch looks manly. The band is not small...the whole watch is absolutely smaller than a man's watch, but there is nothing feminine about it all. It will serve it's purpose of being able to do checks in the middle of the night (indiglo), but not for dinner out with the hubby.

I bought this watch in 2000. I've worn it and abused it and have replaced it ONLY because it looked bad. The new one is slightly inferior to the first. It weighs less and the edges aren't finished as well. A jeweler told me this is common for watches in this price range to keep cost low. I'm still happy I bought it again.

I absolutely love this watch! There are many reviews that say it is a pain to change the length of the silver band, but all I did was take it to my local Wal-Mart and it was free!! It is such an affordable price that an almost broke college student could pay for it! I'm so glad that I did. One of my favorite features is that it is a bracelet watch. In other words...there is absolutely no hassle with putting it on or taking it off. It makes it so easy to just put it on and leave in the mornings and at night I can just take it off and go to sleep without any hassle! I wear it while washing my hands, face, and the dishes! The indiglo feature is VERY neat because some teenager flipping open their cell phone in the middle of a movie is so irritating. I don't have to be one of them! The sleek and pretty design is sure to last me through many fashionable years. The date on there is perfect as well especially since I have to write the date on every page of notes I take! Setting the watch when I first got it and changing it for daylight savings time was so simple!! The numbers on it are clear and easy to read and the second hand helps me in some of my classes as well. I would MOST DEFINITELY buy from Timex again. I'm even going to get one for my mom for Christmas!

I really like this watch - I am always on the lookout for a nice watch with an easy to read face (but not overly large) - this watch is perfect. Like a lot of the other reviewers I was not able to adjust the band and ended up taking it to a timex store - they were able to knock out a few links in less than 5 minutes. Since I seem to have a weakness for watches I am sure I will keep my eyes open for another but this one should keep me happy for quite a while

I got this watch because I needed something with a second hand and clearly visible numbers/markings for taking vital signs in EMT school. I wanted something stylish and feminine that was also waterproof so I could dip it in a bucket of disinfectant should it get anything nasty on it.
It was delivered quickly and looks great. I really like the styling of the stainless steel band. The numbers are clear and easy to read and the indiglo is a nice touch.
I will say that out of the box, this watch was HUGE on me, and I am not a petite person by any stretch. I could not wear it til I took it to a jeweler and had about 4 links removed. I went to a local mom-n-pop shop and they did it free of charge for me. If you are very overweight or have an otherwise really huge wrist, this is the watch for you. If not, you will probably need to have the band shortened before you can wear it. That's not a big deal but not something you can do yourself - the jeweler was even having trouble and broke a few of the special tools she uses to get the pins out of the band. I certainly see the rationale behind shipping with such a long band - better too long than too short - but don't count on being able to wear this right out of the box.
